We have had a first time occurrence of QB errors produced when importing an IIF file. File imports part way, then produces a series of errors with the following message.

ERROR   1555   Unable to add the Service Item due to an error      Item Service Add Sub IIF err -2147220452 An internal QuickBooks error occurred while trying to access the QuickBooks company data file.
ERROR   1556   Unable to add the Service Item due to an error      Item Service Add Sub IIF err -2147220452 An internal QuickBooks error occurred while trying to access the QuickBooks company data file.
ERROR   1557   Unable to add the Service Item due to an error      Item Service Add Sub IIF err -2147220452 An internal QuickBooks error occurred while trying to access the QuickBooks company data file.

I have attempting importing in both multi-user & single-user modes.

I assume this is NOT for QuickBooks online.
The error An internal QuickBooks error occurred while trying to access the QuickBooks company data file comes from QuickBooks.  I think that there might be something wrong with the QuickBooks file and you should probably do a QB Verify and Rebuild from the QB File, Utilities menu or it might be a QB bug.

One question does this always happen or happen after nnn number of records.

If you have have done the above QB rebuild and the problem still occurs then please let us know so we can try to persue it with Intuit.

Please do not post any names. The errors contain the names of used in the transactions.  I will remove these from your post.
